Malcolm, a human experienced in the ways of fighting, has had quite the unusual life. Having been raised the eldest of four brothers he was quite experienced in dueling from the start. On his fifth birthday he and his brothers set off to a nearby village that was set upon a gathering of cliffs. During their sparring Malcolm bested his brothers, as usual, and had basked in his well earned glory. Frustrated with his loss, Malcolm’s younger brother Frances shoved Malcolm, unaware of how close they were to the edge of the cliffs. Malcolm was sent sprawling over the edge and tumbled face down into the rocks below. Assumed dead, his brothers left him and returned home to bear the news to their father. Though broken and beaten, Malcolm was miraculously still breathing. He was stumbled upon by a magical elf, who took him under her wing. She healed and nurtured Malcolm for what seemed like a few days. However when he was healed and attempted to return home, Malcolm realized his brothers were far older than he was. In healing him, the elf had combined her blood with his, altering his aging process. He was but a child as he watched his family all grow old and die. After two hundred years he finally reached human maturity. Malcolm reached out to the elf that healed him, begging her to return him to his completely human self. When he found her though she too was on her death bed. Unable to retract her gift to him she bid him farewell. Since then Malcolm has spent his days wandering Solaris looking for any quest to complete, trying to make the most out of his extended time amongst the living.
